I completed the 5k now back to the writing....

Race for Life is now over and I aim to put my energy into other things. I completed the course in just under 3o mins which (considering I walked some of it) is a personal best for me. I will keep up with the running but once winter sets in I shall start swimming again which is a preferred sport for me. So now this is all done until next year I aim to put everything into the writing. I managed to post on the 100 words a day 3 times last week (surpassing each amount by the entry so I'm happy with that). Next week I'll try harder. I've even sent my details to the Writer's Bureau for a some more details. I figure with some proper training I'm bound to gain in confidence and writing skill.

  1. Congrats! Well done :) I could never do a run! (or a walk) I'd be on the floor doing a very good impression of a gibbering wreck. lol. Hope you made loads of monies. Lx

  2. I signed up for a writers bureau correspondance course years ago, only did one or two assignments, and the time lapse eventually got too long, I was too embarrassed to go back and say eh here's my homework - 3 years later. But I'd say if you kept up with it, and took it seriously it could be good. They seem very practical and commercially oriented.

  4. L - thanks, I got passed the 1k marker and thought I couldnt go on but got into it eventually. Am in agony now but worth it cuz i raised £135. As a work group we raised over £1000,00 which we were amazed by.

Niamh - that sounds like me. I need to be focused otherwise it'll be a waste. i think im in a good place right now with no stressed or worse (touch wood) so think now would be a good time to start.

Thanks Carol - I'm impressed too cuz I've never managed that time before. Plus it was boiling when we ran
