Update

I'm still here, don't worry I haven't given up. I'm waning slightly but I'll never give up. I have loads of new ideas floating around in my head. Why is it I keep thinking of them when I'm on the bus and I can't do anything except for type them into my rubbish phone (with keys that have a mind of their own). My main priority is Confidence in Me and as you can see I made a teeny tiny amount of progress which is better than none. I fully intend to finish this next year (before May) and I am hoping to find a creative writing class too which will help me along.

First book

I was just thinking about the first book I ever read (not including the ones you were made to read at school) I can't quite remember how old I was but I suppose I could have been around the age of 12 maybe and I chose to read 'The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole aged 13 3/4' by Sue Townsend and I remember not being able to put it down. It was the first book I really enjoyed as I picked it myself and that was the start of my love of books.
Let me know what your first book was - you know 'the one'

Full Steam Ahead

Through some good advice from friends and relatives and my heart (cheesy I know) I am carrying on with my book. I would feel disloyal to myself if I gave it up. I've worked too hard on it and I'm enjoying being in the middle of it all. Its mine after all even if someone else is living in a similar world.

Advice needed...fast

I'm seriously unhappy. I was reading this months cosmo and came across an article about a girl who has published her own book. I thought it looked really good so I googled the author and found the site. I read the book's synopsis and I felt like I'd been kicked it the stomach. Its exactly the same story idea as mine. Now I know it will be a long time before I ever get it finished but I'm not sure if I should scrap the idea all together or carry on making it my own.
Any advice would be great however brutal

Word of the Day

I've got my rear in gear and am just taking a minute out from my novel writing (while also listening to Scrubs in the background - what I can't work in silence) to write my latest blog. As you will see from the new addition to my blog I will be writing something based on the Word of the Day. I will incorporate the word of the day into my novel or see if it develops into something new. Todays word is:
Woolgathering \WOOL-gath-(uh)-ring\, noun:Indulgence in idle daydreaming.
