I have had such a relaxing weekend. I feel very replenished. Shame it will all end tomorrow morning. I decided to really relax today and have a long hot soak in the bath. I closed my eyes and found myself in the plot of my own book 'Confidence in Me'. Fearing I would forget I leaped out the bath narrowly escaping a broken leg, wrist and neck in the process and grabbed my notebook 'conveniently' placed by my bed and jumped back in the bath again to write down all my new thoughts. I also thought of a new invention. Waterproof notepad and pen. You heard it here first. Look out dragons den.
Ah... it would appear I have been pipped to the post -

Finally finished my Column
I finally sent my column to The London Paper today (see older post: Ever fancied writing your own column?). Something which I aimed to send weeks ago I managed to finished writing and editing it during my lunch break today. I even found a nice photo of myself. I will let you know how I get on. Fingers crossed I will be able to add it to my portfolio of published work.

Blog Update
I told my work mates about my book today and I got a good response. They looked really impressed. I haven't done much writing as its been a busy week of 9-5 (I know its only Tues but I'm shattered. I did manage to get a slideshow on to my blog last night. Check it out on top of my page. There's only two books showing so far but keep looking out. I will be updating my most favourite and recommended books.
Have a great evening of writing, reading or as I like to call it research for that TV critic job I have always wanted.

Wicked
It's been a busy week. I went to see Wicked on Thursday which was brilliant. I'd definately watch it again. The songs are amazing as well as the story. I loved the way it tied in nicely with 'The Wizard of Oz'. Not just with the Witch but with other characters too.
Friday Night
I went with my mum to see a medium on Friday evening. If ever I wasnt fully convinced of this ability, I am now.
Book Progress
I'm still busy with my book which has left me with little time to write here but I will keep you all up to date with my progress however little or slow.

Ever fancied writing your own column?
My boss gave this to me today which I thought was really interesting so I thought of you fellow writers and thought you'd be interested too. I have already written 300 words for a column which I aim to complete tomorrow to send. I don't see why they need a photo as well but I'm sure I can find one somewhere that doesn't involve me looking like Edward Scissorhands on a bad day.

Early Start
An early start for me today as I am off to Camden. This is partly for shopping as I love the clothes there and partly as its the setting for my new idea and I need some inspiration. More on that when I return home.
I have also just finished and sent my letter to Cosmo commenting on one of the October articles. I was quite please with this and I think it will encourage me to form my own opinions more easily. Quoting people is always good but I would hope that someone quotes me for the good of human-kind one day

New Ideas - it is amazing what a good nights sleep can do!!
After having what seems like the worst week ever I am finally back to writing. This morning I woke after a glorious night’s sleep with a new idea for a book. This will be more of a fantasy chick lit genre unlike my first book (which I am yet to finish).
I haven’t been completely inactive this last week. Besides work I have been reading plenty. There’s my book of the moment as pictured to the left of this entry. And there’s my writing aid ‘ Will Write for Shoes – How to Write a Chick Lit Novel’ by Cathy Yardley. This book really helped me out when writing for the Miss Write competition, even though I didnt win but hey who did??? Answers on a post card please.
Anyways I am now off eat my green thai curry and pop in a Beatles dvd.
Happy Saturday!!

Swamped
I got absolutely no writing done today as I was so swamped at work. I think I must have raised about 30 contracts - not the sort of writing I was hoping to do. I was so busy I didnt even have time to make a list of what I needed to do. Oh well tomorrow is another day. I did, however manage to create my word counter which I thought was really nifty. It'll give me that extra push to get writing more of my book every day as its looking a bit sad. I am also looking into setting up a website so I can display some of my published work online. I will have to get the help of my more graphically abled brother. He is also a web designer which helps. Oh the perks of having siblings.
Last thing before I forget: I went to see Run Fat Boy Run last night and I was not disappointed. Simon Pegg is effortlessly funny in this oh so funny (I said it again but it really was...funny) film. Bit of cheesily feel good predictability but hilarious all the same. I also think Dylan Moran is gorgeous and you get to see his bum!!!
Anyway I am off to bed now as I am really into my book: Dont you want me? by India Knight....Night
