I've started a writing course

Firstly a huge thank you to all those who read, comment and follow on my blog. I know I haven't been blogging much but I am still reading and commenting on my faves.

I am getting back to the writing with the aid of this great xmas present from my parents. It's a Learn It Creative Writing package from Gift Republic. It's a great starter tool for me as I haven't been on any creative writing courses before. The course contains 10 short lessons on things from creating plots and characters to writing dialogue and types of punctuation. At the end of the course I can take an exam online and if I pass I will get an OCN Credit4Learning Certificate. It's a great little starter course which I can definately recommend if you're just starting out. No idea on the price as it was a present but if you are interested you can visit: www.giftrepublic.com

As well as my writing I am addicted to my new Nintendo DS. I have been learning to cook on it so it's not just recreational its also stimulation for my brain (and stomach).
I am detoxing also and I am waiting for the break-out that is taking up residence on my face to leave before I can brave the world. It's worth it though and also proves that my boyfriend loves me for more than my looks (that wasn't supposed to sound big headed but I'm not usually this minging). I've been working out to the Vicky Entwistle dvd, I know that may sound amusing (people have laughed, not sure whether its at the thought of me working out or Vicky Entwistle) but it's a great work out and even though I can barely walk I know it's working. No pain no gain and all that cheese.

  3. I don't breakout any more way to old for that. But I do understand the felling.

I to did a work out I went cliff climbing yesterday, free style (no ropes) See old age has caught up with me, I just found out I'm not 20 any more!

  4. Paige - lol I'm sure its not that bad. Mine is starting to clear now. I shall be investing in some face packs this week.

L - Thanks - I managed 3 1 hour long work outs last week and its getting easier and I can feel it working. A friend lent me Yoga dvd today so I shall be giving that a go. I tend to get bored of the same one after a while.

Ken - I thought that once you were out of your teens that was it for spots. Oh how I was wrong. I should be grateful I didn't get them while I was at school.
That puts my work out to shame. I couldn't do that and I'm in my 20s.

I need to get going on my detox and exercise regime but it's going to have to wait till we have somewhere to live and are settled. Can't face it yet...living out of a suitcase in someone else's house is not fun!!

  7. Thanks Karen - its really good. I dont know how I managed without it. I must have remembered more stuff from school than I thought.

C - I'm getting a lot of use out of it although its not bringing as much comfort as the 2 selection packs I went through. I've started slowly with it, the main thing is the 8 glasses of water which I've done every day for the last 2 weeks. i feel much better for it. My skin doesnt agree at the moment though
