Why you shouldn't read interesting articles whilst waiting for your bus....

Not the fun packed email I mentioned in the last post but today has been a strange old day.  I spent 3 hours of my work day sitting in an empty office listening to the distant sounds of a fire alarm being drowned out by my mp3 player.  Then when they (not sure who 'they' are) finally managed to stop the alarm we had to endure power cuts a plenty.
I escaped the madness of the office and picked up a copy of Writers Forum.  I was engrossed in an article  by Amanda Brittany about Writing Groups (including Womag2Weekly - yay we are famous!) whilst at the bus stop later today when I looked up to see my bus leaving without me and my magazine!

No writing tonight as I spent the best part of the evening clearing out the spare room so that I can get a desk in there.  It's a lovely cosy warm room and I can't wait to be able to sit at computer at a proper desk instead of slouching in bed.

Anyways I am all ready for the weekend.  The novel is printed and I have stolen borrowed some red pens from work so now all that's left is for me to get out the sun lounger and wait for the weekend.  I just hope the sun keeps up his end of the bargain!

  2. Whoops. I look forward to my copy arriving in Bangkok.

I hope your room isn't too warm or you might go to sleep - or is that just me?

  5. It's so important to have a space that you can call your own to work in!! Good luck with the editing and don't be too harsh with that red pen!

  6. Colette - I'm so pale im using 50. My skin will be in shock if i use anything less. I took a spare red pen just in case. I think the majority will be covered in red pen just from glancing at some of the paragraphs.

JJ - its not too warm but it does have the most comfortable bed i have ever st on. That's why I need the desk cuz I tend to get too comfy.

Queenie - lol glad its not just me. Thanks, hopefully it will go better than I am expecting.

Debs - thank you. You will have to get a sun roof for your shed! Good luck with it

  7. Carol - Sorry you posted just as I was posting my replies lol.
I know what you mean. I seem to move from one room to the next to write and have no real work station. I also need to get away from the main bedroom and living room as both have tv's. Il try not to go too mad otherwise I might get disheartened. If it starts looking too red I might change it to green to make me feel better

  10. What a great weekend you have chosen for it. Don't forget to put in lots of ticks with your red pen (for the outstanding bits) as well as mark any bits you are not so happy with too! Bring back gold stars I say!
