Exciting News and Awards for Excellence

This was me earlier in Café Nero while waiting for boyf to get his wig chopped. I couldn't blog this at the time of writing because Blogger and Vodafone don't seem to agree. I can't blog from my mobile. If anyone on V/fone can, please tell me how. I hate all this 'this was me earlier' stuff on my blog. I want to be up to the minute breaking news. Ok I know I'm not really that exciting. Still, I have some special news, to me anyway. my.....wait for it....100th post!!!!! I'm so excited and proud of myself. I'm quite emotional as I write this still nursing my tea in Nero. I am sooo dreading trying to read my writing later. I know its bloody awful isn't it!

I would like to say thanks to all those people who have read my blog, come back again and again and for all the wonderful messages and support. I would have given up on 'my baby' a long time ago otherwise.

A while back Paige awarded me an 'Excellent' award. I did not pass this on at the time as I told myself I would do this when I got to this post. An incentive if you will and it makes it all the more special. For her comments, friendship, emails and just all round excellentness I pass this on to Paige.
For making me laugh so so much whenever I read her blog I'm also awarding this to Karen.
Last but not least I award Callistro for all her advice and question answering, and also being the reason I started this blog in the first place (I googled Miss Write and Writing about Writing is what popped up). Since I found her blog last year I set this blog up in September and have learnt a lot along the way. I've sent stories out, am on my way to being published this Autumn and I've made some great friends. I look forward to my next 100 posts and making more friends along the way.

  1. Aw, that's so nice Lily, thanks, and congratumalations on your 100th post :o)

I started thanks to Cally as well...she's got a lot to answer for! I can't imagine NOT blogging now, I think the feedback and sense of 'community' is really important and inspiring and it's great to see how other 'writers' are doing.

I'm loving the pictures (I like your notepad!) but have no idea about V/fone blogging I'm afraid...took me long enough to figure out how to do it on the PC!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, and here's to another 100 blogs!

  2. Congrats on the 100th post!

Awww... thank you Lily! I would pass it back to you for all the same reasons again but then it could get a bit ridiculous us passing it back and forth.....

So thank you again! And I am also with Vodafone - Blogger and Vodafone really don't get on. It's pants. I've tried sending photos to my blog and it just doesn't work. :(

  3. Awww, thanks for that :o) And congrats on your 100th post.

Love the title of your notebook btw! (Would make a good title for a novel!)

  4. Karen - No worries, you deserve it. Thanks. I can't believe I ever got this far and I still enjoy it. Yes, Cally must be very googable as I kept finding ways to the site around that time. I'm so glad I found it.
Thanks, my boss bought it for me at Christmas and I just started using it today.
lol yes I'm the same. I'm still not 100% with blogging.

Paige - Yay me, thanks I'm so pleased. lol i understand. It could get a bit silly.
I would switch to Orange but most of my friends and my boyf is on V/fone which means I can call them for free so heres hoping it becomes compatible soon

Calistro - Thanks so much, and thanks again for all your help. I honestly don't think I would have carried on with the novel had I not come across your blog and all the others.
lol yes It would make a 'novel' title (too much? OK) I'm thinking of changing the name of my blog to that. My boss thought it suited me as I have some strange theories on life. I should blog them really. They are a bit mad. Some are a bit too out there so maybe I won't.

  5. Congrats Lilly!! To 100 posts and many more to come :)

  6. Congratulations on your 100th post. D

  7. Thanks Kerry - I can't believe I got this far.

Thanks Debs - I'm looking forward to writing 100 more!
